D.C. Concealed Carry Pistol License (CCPL) Training – MPD Approved
This Metropolitan Police Department (MPD)-approved 16-hour firearms training course meets and exceeds all requirements for obtaining a District of Columbia Concealed Carry Pistol License (CCPL).
Course Includes:

16 hours of classroom instruction covering D.C. self-defense laws, legal considerations, and use-of-force guidelines

2-hour mandatory live fire session with qualification
-
Training that fulfills MPD’s proof-of-competency and live fire qualification requirements
Who Needs This Course:
Required for both D.C. residents and non-residents who wish to legally carry a concealed handgun within the District. All firearms intended for concealed carry must be registered in D.C.
License Details:

Valid for 2 years from date of issuance

Available for both initial certification and renewals
Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, Naturalized Citizen, or Permanent Resident

Must present a valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Real ID, or U.S. Passport)
